The Singers
The Singers is a children’s play-book based on the folktale The Bremen Town Musicians. No longer fast or young enough to work, a donkey, dog, rooster and cat are turned away from their farms and onto the streets. After some searching they come across a house run by thieves. By working together they successfully scare away the robbers and claim the house as their own! For this project Pearson Australia asked Pounce to illustrate the characters for the children’s novel aimed at children in year 2 between the ages of 7 and 8.

Ishka Water Bottles
Last week we were very pleased to hear that the 3 water bottles, designed for homewares retailer Ishka, were well received by customers with 100 selling in the first week! The bottle illustrations inspired by Japanese, Chinese and Indian art, focus on having a handmade feel through texture and colour washes. ‘Holy Water’ encourages people to re-use, re-fill, refresh and replenish . . . which we think is resplendent!

So Neat & So Sweet!
Whether Valentine’s Day makes you go ‘AWW!’ or it makes you go ‘EWW!’, everybody should go ‘YAY!’ at the thought of making someone else smile. To do just that, we’ve knocked up a little V~Day, spread-the-love type folly here at Pounce with the above illustrations ‘So Neat’ and ‘So Sweet’!
